The Moms I'm Most Concerned About Aren't the Ones Who Say They're Overwhelmed
They're the ones who insist they're "fine."
Honestly?
I don't worry the most about the moms who tell me they're overwhelmed.
I worry about the moms who insist they're "fine."
You wake up tired.
You drink the coffee.
You pack the lunches.
You answer the texts.
You remember everyone's appointments.
You work.
You clean.
You make dinner.
And somehow...
you convince yourself this is just adulthood.
This is just motherhood.
Until one day your toddler spills the milk...
...and you completely lose it.
Not because of the milk.
Because you've been holding your breath for months.
Maybe years.
No one ever tells moms that your nervous system has a breaking point.
Instead, we're told to be more grateful.
More patient.
More organized.
Wake up earlier.
Go to bed earlier.
Drink more water.
Meal prep.
Meditate.
Buy another planner.
As if another planner was ever going to heal a woman who's carrying the emotional weight of an entire family.
The truth is, you're not failing.
You're overloaded.
And you don't need another person telling you to "try harder."
You need someone to finally explain what's happening inside your body.
That's exactly why I said yes when I was invited to speak at the Sexy & Regulated Mama Summit.
It wasn't because moms needed another expert telling them how to be better.
It was because I wanted to be part of a conversation that so many women desperately need to hear.
For two days, incredible women came together to talk about the realities of motherhood that often go unspoken.
Why overwhelm becomes your baseline.
Why your patience disappears by the end of the day.
Why your body no longer feels like your own.
Why your relationship can slowly begin to feel more like a partnership built on logistics than a place of connection.
Most importantly...
What you can actually do about it.
If there's one thing I hope every mother knows, it's this:
You were never meant to carry everything alone.
You don't have to earn rest.
You don't have to prove you're strong enough to keep pushing.
And you certainly don't have to wait until your body forces you to stop before you start taking care of yourself.
You've probably been strong for long enough.
Maybe now it's time to let yourself be supported.
