I just joined a group that teaches you how to think about others. It teaches you how to think about generational wealth.

It teaches you how to be kind and generous and to build authentic relationships and how to be a better human

Kindness has felt natural to me for a long time now - so much so that it’s kind of weird to be in a program that teaches it

It’s part of my being now to wonder how I can leave a positive imprint on someone I meet

I’m awe-struck that 1 brief moment can have a lasting impact on someone

It used to come from codependence. To make myself invaluable so that someone would never leave me. I crafted a false sense of necessity so they would miss the void of me if they ever decided to leave.

But once I healed that need for validation and protection, the kindness was still there

It didn’t occur to me to be kind at first.

With four planets in Aries, & 3 in Sagittarius I was historically the height of self-consumed & self-centered. A 5 year old child who was certain the world revolved around me.

It was a painstakingly tedious journey to learn to see from someone else’s perspective. To care about what they cared about simply because it was important to them.

But once I heard about the possibility that you can change someone’s entire life in one kind interaction, I became enthralled - positively obsessed with that concept.

Now in a world filled with suspicion, coercion, judgement, insecurity, anger, fear and suppression, kindness acts like a beacon. It is magnetic.

It’s like water after 40 days in the hot, arid desert. 🏜️

What once seemed like a common thing, now has a powerful pull because it feels so rare in these strange times.

If there’s one characteristic that will always - without question- pay off, it is developing the ability to be kind to all humans. 💜 I HIGHLY recommend it.

PSA: But because humans are humans, it will require firm and loving boundaries also. Being kind to others at your own expense, is not, in fact, kind. It is martyrdom.
