How can a single mom with two kids go from $20K per month to $10M per year?

Let’s dive in.

Sarah came to me because she was incredibly frustrated.

We met in a business course she had already spent $50K on and she went on to work with our business coach for $250K a year.

And she couldn’t break $20K a month.

She had so many strategies and ideas she was implementing that were really brilliant. She worked 12 hours a day, and bounced between mom-ing her two kids under 10, and running her business as a solopreneur.

She ran an ads agency and her clients were getting such great results, that they kept referring her their friends.

There was absolutely no reason at all that she shouldn’t be making more than $20K per month, and yet… she couldn’t break through.

With a deep plea in her heart, she asked “Can you help me?”

You can assume what my answer was. 😂

In a very short time, we started revealing some really specific things about why her income wasn’t growing.

She had a very high work ethic around quality, delivery, client results and her reputation with them, which made it very hard for her to trust anyone to help her.

Because of that, she was working herself to the bone to get all her clients served with the high standards she held herself to. Her capacity to take on more clients was capped. She actually couldn’t help more people.

Because she was spending so much time in delivery for her clients, her marketing engine slowed to a halt. There was no bandwidth for her to have creative ideas and inspiration for marketing AND do what she needed to do for her clients.

And she couldn’t justify hiring out her marketing - that’s exactly what she was doing for her clients. It just made sense to her to keep “trying to make extra time to do her own funnels”. Which, as you may have experienced, kept not getting done.

We also found a really deep-seated belief that she had no idea was there: she was actually afraid of being a business owner. After a personal experience in childhood, she had learned that being in business for yourself isn’t safe or reliable and could actually put your family in real jeopardy.

That was the reason her brain kept suggesting to her she close down her business and go get a real job.

We got laser focused, and used some really specific techniques to resolve and shift some of these things.

We established her trust around being able to find someone who could match her level of quality to support her.

Once that was in place, she was able to hire people to support her with the things that weren’t in her zone of genius.

When she had reclaimed some more bandwidth, she had the idea of starting a school to teach people to do what she could do so well, which would serve triple duty:

💜 She could train people to support her in servicing her clients
💜 She could build a trusted referral network to whom she could refer overflow clients with a revenue share (creating passive income)
💜 She could support the entrepreneurial community by teaching more people how to help others get the visibility they deserved.

She already had the skills, the knowledge and the tools to create a super successful business.

She just needed to get her body (her mind, her nervous systems and her actual cells) on board with the idea that it was actually SAFE for her to scale.

It took her about 5 years (and she had external business coaching support), but she was able to go from $240K a year to $10 Million a year, and counting.

The reason I wanted to share Sarah’s story with you is because I think a lot of entrepreneurs assume that if they’re stuck at an income level for long enough, it must mean they’re missing something everyone else understands.

Usually, they aren’t.

Usually there’s a pattern underneath all of it that keeps pulling things back toward what feels familiar.

From a practical perspective.
