Finish these sentences with the very first thoughts that come to your mind (without censoring yourself):
- I would be more successful, but…
- I would have more money, but…
- I would have more freedom, but…
The answers that reveal themselves might surprise you.
They’ll probably feel uncomfortable, and that’s okay—that discomfort means you’re unearthing the core beliefs your brain has been protecting for years. These are the exact limiting beliefs that have been quietly shaping your decisions and behaviors.
For instance, maybe you find yourself completing the sentence with: “I would be more successful, but I’m not smart enough.” Or “I would have more money, but I’m not good at managing it.”
