The Good news: Here’s how to take your power back

You’re only in control of about 3% of yourself.

That’s not a metaphor. That’s brain science.

Only 3% of your thoughts, actions, and choices are driven by conscious awareness.

The rest? Handled by unconscious patterning, inherited survival code, and automation your body didn’t ask your permission to run.

Wild, right?

It explains a lot.

Like why you keep saying you’ll slow down—but don’t.

Why “doing the work” still leaves you exhausted.

Why ease feels suspicious, and control feels safe—even when it’s killing your creativity.

That’s what I want to talk to you about today.

Because the problem isn’t you.

It’s the system you’re running.

And it’s time we updated that.

Let’s dive in.

You’ve been taught to “take control of your life.”

To push harder. Think positive. Rewrite your story.

As if your conscious brain is the CEO of your reality.

Here’s the error in that narrative:

Your conscious mind only controls about 3% of what you do.

The other 97%? That’s handled by your unconscious brain, your body’s automation system, and patterns you didn’t choose—but did inherit, repeat, and reinforce.

The way you respond under pressure?

The “I’ll figure it out” loop you keep living in?

The fact that “rest” feels wrong even though your body is screaming for it?

That’s not mindset.

That’s your biology doing its job: keeping you alive using ancient code.

It’s not broken. It’s outdated.

And it’s the real reason you feel like you’re doing everything right and still spinning your wheels.

If you want to change your results, you don’t need more willpower.

You need to update your system.

Here’s the part most people miss.

You don’t take your power back by fighting the 97%.

You take it back by working with it.

You stop trying to micromanage yourself from the top down

and start listening from the inside out.

Because your body isn’t sabotaging you.

It’s protecting you the only way it knows how.

When you learn how to speak its language—

through safety, repetition, and regulation—

change stops feeling like force

and starts feeling like relief.

You don’t become disciplined.

You become aligned.

You don’t override your instincts.

You update them.

And suddenly:

Rest doesn’t feel dangerous

Ease doesn’t feel lazy

Forward motion doesn’t require burnout

That’s what real control actually looks like.

Not domination. Coordination.

You don’t need to become someone new.

You just need to stop running an operating system that was designed for survival, not expansion.

That’s how you take your power back.
