𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮?

Many people would be tempted to dismiss this idea - especially those who tend towards the logical

Building a relationship with money feels - at first glance - like you’re going to be asked to sit around a camp fire and sing 𝑘𝑢𝑚 𝑏𝑎 𝑦𝑎 . And for many people that’s a “No thanks! I’ll pass ”

But hear me out… there are some really practical reasons to create a relationship with money, that are logical and play out in a very real way.

Think about this: how do you treat people you like & respect?

You enjoy their company, feel warm when they’re around and look forward to seeing them. You’re grateful. You care.

What about people you don’t respect?

You avoid them. Dread interactions. Pretend they don’t exist in your life as much as possible. Resent their existence.

Imagine feeling a deep level of respect and appreciation for money. Imagine how your behavior would change. Imagine what would be different in your life if you took extreme care of money, as if it were a cherished friend.

Instead of what you have now.

Not as a power play, a fear based scarcity or an ego trip.

But as a reverential nod to the interaction we already have it, living in a society that is money driven.

Imagine trusting it the same as you trust your partner or your closest confidante.

Imagine having a deep certainty that no matter what, it would always be there for you.

Welcoming it in, instead of avoiding or ignoring it.

To act out this practice in real life (along with re-writing some old, unhelpful stories you have around money) would re-wire everything in your mind and body about your experience with money on a daily basis.

It would change everything.

And approaching money from this fresh perspective allows some room for a different kind of experience.
