Because the pathways in your brain don’t just 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑒 beliefs — they 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦.
Have you heard the adage that a cop can ask four different people who saw the same accident what happened, and they will give four completely different accounts (down to the race and gender of the driver) based on perception?
This is beliefs at work - changing what you see, hear, feel and how you react to situations.
Your brain is constantly asking: What’s true? What’s possible? What’s safe?
And it answers with whatever coding is already installed.
That means:
– You can know you’re smart, but still feel stupid.
– You can want wealth, but still sabotage money.
– You can crave love, but still push it away.
Not because you don’t “want it bad enough.”
Not because you’re lazy.
Not because you’re broken.
But because your brain is running outdated software.
Mindset work doesn’t overwrite that code. You can chant the new thought — but if your brain has 20,000 repetitions of the opposite hardwired, the old pathway wins every time.
That’s why you can “know better” and still not do better.
